Lodging Employee Survey
Lodging Employee Survey provides for the data entry of employee activity data within a given period.
Lodging Employee Survey is made up of the following steps:
This screen collects information on the number of employees (body count) employed by the employer during the reporting period.
- Permanent employee means a permanent employee who was engaged by the employer at the conclusion of
the reporting period.
- Casual employee means a casual or similarly engaged employee who was engaged by the employer
at the conclusion of the reporting period.
An employee in each case includes all employees who were engaged at the conclusion of the reporting
period, whether still employed by the employer or not. It includes employees on sick leave, long service leave, study leave,
leave without pay, on compensation and off swing.
- Employees on own ships/managed ships means employees engaged on ships which are owned and/or operated by the
employer, where the employer has primary responsibility for OHS on the vessel and for rehabilitation and compensation in the
event of a work related injury.
- Employees under manning/labour supply contracts refers to circumstances where the employer supplies employees
(seafarers) to another vessel owner or operator but retains responsibility for rehabilitation and compensation of employees
in the event of a work related injury. The employer, under some manning/labour supply contracts may not have primary
responsibility for OHS as the employer may not have management or control of the vessel.
This screen collects employee age range and occupation data, which is combined with claims data (supplied to Seacare by
AMICA) to show the relationship between age, occupation and injury.
This data is required annually in July, for the preceding 12 months.
Employees in this case means each employee engaged at the conclustion of the reporting period, whether still
employed by the employer or not. It includes employees on sick leave, long service leave, study leave, leave without
pay, on compensation and on an off swing.
This screen provides a summary of data inputs for the four previous screens. Please review the data for accuracy before
submitting to Seacare.
